Why become an ADI?

How safe is your job?
At present the job market is looking bleak, companies are making people redundant so now might be a good time to make the career change that
you have been considering. By becoming a driving instructor, you can secure your future and be your own boss.

  • Do you enjoy driving?
  • Are you bored with your present job?
  • Do you want to enjoy the benefits of being your own boss?
  • Do you want to earn up to £30,000 per year?
  • Do you enjoy meeting people?
  • Do you enjoy helping people?
  • Do you want a career that you can build around other commitments?
  • Do you want a recession proof job with a secure future?
  • Are you 21 or over?
  • Have you held a full UK or EU driving licence for a minimum of 4 years? (with no more than 5 penalty points)
  • Are you free from any spent convictions?

If you have answered yes then train to become a driving instructor

  • Every year over a million people want to learn to drive
  • Driving instruction is a career that you can build around your family or other commitments
  • Enjoy a worthwhile job where you can really help
  • No formal qualifications are required. Just driving ones along with people skills, common sense and a sense of humour!

Flexible working
The beauty of being a self employed driving instructor is that you can work around your family and any other commitments. If you want to take a
couple of hours off to go to the gym or take a day off in the middle of the week then you can.

You have no one to answer to, therefore, if you see that bargain holiday you can take it. No more trying to get time off work! TOTAL FREEDOM

Growing demand for driving instructors
With driving tests getting tougher, more people are learning to drive with a driving instructor. The latest figures suggest that people have on
average around 45 hours with a driving instructor before taking their driving test. In the future, it could become mandatory that people will have to
learn with a driving instructor. If that happen s then driving instructors are going to be in very high demand.

100% job satisfaction
How did you feel when you past your driving test? Most of us can remember being on a high. As a driving instructor you will also feel that high and
when that pupil passes it is your knowledge, hard work and support that has helped. Also you will get satisfaction in watching that pupil with zero
self confidence gaining confidence and progressing in their lessons.

High Earning potentials
Whilst it is possible to earn £30,000.00 plus car per year, but if you want a home and social life I would suggest around an income of between
£15000 to £24,000 to be a more realistic figure based on a 25 to 30 hour week. Obviously the amount you earn depends on where you live and
how much work you do. If you gain more qualifications after you qualify such as becoming fleet registered, getting a diploma and a degree in
driving instruction and get a high grade on a check test, then you can earn more.  Working in the Middle East can pay around £1000.00 per week.

Brand new car every year
I contract hire my cars as the high depreciation and running costs would work out more expensive than buying. All servicing and maintenance
costs are met by the contract hire firm. If the car is off the road for any length of time then a spare car is available. Having a brand new car is good
for the image and your peace of mind.
