Part 1 Home Study Pack
Some organisations charge inflated prices for their home study packs, so be warned. If you look on the ADI Part 1 web page, there is a list of all the
publications so you can go out and buy them. For a charge, I can supply a home study kit.
  • Reference books
  • Progress check tests and Mock Theory Tests
  • A Theory and Hazard Perception CD-ROM.
  • ADI14 pack, which contains an application form.

The course is taken at home in your own time, at your own pace, so you can continue with your current employment. Full on line and telephone support is
provided.

ADI Part 2 training (Driving ability test)
I do flexible training where you train around your current work commitments.

Your driving will be assessed to see what level you are at, then by using a structured training programme your driving will be developed. For the ADI part 2 I will
develop your driving to a standard that is smooth, safe and systematic where you will make good safe progress within all posted speed limits, whilst keeping
good safety margins and be totally aware of your surroundings and able to deal with any unexpected hazards. Also we will work on all of the manoeuvres so
that you can carry them all out with confidence. This is an advanced driving test therefore in order to pass you will need to display a very high driving standard.
At this stage in order to be successful, you will need to practice. The more time and commitment you put in the less hours you should need.

Part 3 Training Course (Teaching ability)
40 Hours + 20 hours additional training (Part of the legal requirements if operating on a trainee licence)
After you pass the ADI part 2 (driving ability exam) you will receive 40 hours of one to one in car instructor training. The training carried out using role play and
is structured so that you will learn the teaching skills and subject knowledge so by the end of your training you will be able to structure a driving lesson and
teach any subject with confidence. If at any time during the training, you are seen to be struggling or you wish to ask a question or advice then I will come out of
role. As I also teach a few learners to drive, I am able to keep in touch with the real world and the faults simulated during part 3 training are realistic to those
that a real learner will commit. This 40 hour course is mandatory if you are intending to operate on a trainee licence. Also you will receive an additional 20
training prior to your first ADI part 3 (teaching ability exam) To help, you will receive a Part 3 Workbook  and full colour visual aids. The training is usually carried
out in one day sessions or half day sessions and can be completed over a 1, 2 3 or 4 week period or longer if required. The minimum period that I would
recommend is half a day whist doing your 40 hour course.

Trainee licence
when you have passed your ADI part 2 examination you can apply for a trainee licence. To get a trainee licence you will need to find a driving school who will
allow you to operate a franchise and there must be at least one ADI per trainee (PDI) working for the school. Before you can get your trainee licence you must
receive 40 hours of training.

ADI rescue training
If you are lacking in confidence how about getting a second opinion? Maybe you are not understanding certain aspects of your training, therefore by attending a
session with me, you could find the answers that you are looking for. If you are finding it difficult to get the extra training with your training college then I can
help.

Please note
I charge for training only. Examination fees are extra. Use of the car for the ADI part 2 and 3 practical tests are subject to conditions.
