| Driving Courses Driving instructor training If you are wanting to train to become a driving instructor or are receiving training else where but feel that you are struggling, then I do one to one training on a pay as you go basis. Train for a new career around your current working commitments. Learner driver courses I offer fully structured driving courses at competitive prices with discounts and other offers available. Whether you are a complete novice with zero driving experience, have had a driving test (or a few) and have not yet been successful, feel that you aren't getting anywhere in your driving or maybe not getting on with your current driving instructor, then help is at hand. Pass plus For those who have just passed their driving test, I can do pass plus courses which are designed to raise a new driver's road awareness skills to a higher level and will introduce the driver to motorway driving. After successfully completing a course, participants will be able to make considerable savings on their car insurance. People living in York may be eligible for council subsidies. Motorway driving course If you are an inexperienced driver or have limited experience in motorway driving or you are lacking in confidence when it comes to motorway driving then the motorway driving course could be the one for you. Refresher / Driver improvement courses This course is ideal for those who have passed their driving test and not driven in a long time, the driver who has been driving for a long time but wants a second opinion, or those drivers who lack confidence. On this course, I will build your confidence and update your knowledge on new driving legislations and modern driving techniques. UK familiarisation courses This course is designed for people new to the UK. On a UK familiarisation course the driver will be shown how to drive safely on the UK roads and to get a better understanding of UK traffic law. There will be quite a bit of emphasis placed on roundabouts, junctions, traffic light sequences and motorway driving as these are areas that can differ from country to country. This course is ideal for those who have just moved to the UK, employ overseas staff in a company or if you employ an au pair to look after your children. Defensive driver training / Advanced driving courses As a member of a couple of advanced driving groups, having taken and passed various advanced driving tests myself, I can use this knowledge to carry out advanced driver training and prepare drivers for the advanced driving tests. Eco- driving With fuel prices going up weekly, this course will show you how to drive more economically as well as improving your road safety. For a small investment, you could save hundreds of pounds. Speed awareness courses Have you got points on your licence from speeding? Do you worry about getting points on your licence for speeding? Do you rely on your licence for work or family commitments? On this course, you will learn how to recognise speed limits, where speed limits are likely to change and how to keep your speed under control. Fleet training for small businesses, schools, colleges and clubs If you run a small company and require defensive driver training for your drivers please contact me to discuss your requirements. I am an independent DSA Fleet Registered Trainer and can provide group power point presentations, on road driving assessments and defensive driver training. All of my on road training will include a full written report. Power point presentations If you run a company or a social group, I can deliver power point presentations on a range of defensive driving subjects. Light van and minibus familiarisation training Do you run small vans or minibuses? On this vehicle type familiarisation course, I will train your drivers to use a minibus or a light van in a safe and efficient manner. Apart from driver training, I will discuss safe loading of passengers and/ or goods and how different loads will affect the handling and braking characteristics of the vehicle.
